Welcome to PAINT ITALY
Discover the REAL ITALY on a painting holiday in Piemonte

Welcome to Paint Italy at Ca’ du Ciarrot

We offer drawing and sketching holidays in the heart of Piemonte. Additionally we provide full board and studio facilities for artists who would like to come and paint without tuition. Our courses provide tutored, structured programmes and include all materials, meals, accommodation, excursions and airport/rail transfers.

Located between the Alps and the Mediterranean Piemonte is relatively undiscovered and offers the flavour of the real Italy uncluttered by mass tourism. The landscape is magnificent, filled with mediaeval castles and churches, traditional farms and vineyards. The area is renowned for its excellent food and wines. It is everything that spells Italy without the crowds.

We are situated in a quiet hamlet of Cocconato d’Asti. Your accommodation will be in our sympathetically converted Italian farmhouse (Ca’ du Ciarrot) with its colourful courtyard, terrace and garden. We pride ourselves on our hospitality and provide a relaxed and friendly family atmosphere with excellent home cooked food and locally produced wines.

Courses are run by me, Joy Moore. I am a professional artist, working here from my studio which was formerly a hayloft, and now provides stunning views across the countryside. You can see my work on my website www.joymoorelandscapes.com.

There are two courses - “Drawing from A to Z”, and “An Italian Sketchbook”. Both are designed to accommodate all levels of ability. Your main purpose will be to enjoy sketching, painting and drawing - guests always leave with something new that they have gained from their time here.

"I have been on other painting holidays but this one is the best on all counts, your knowledge of the area and your skills in Italian add greatly to the overall experience. We have visited many interesting towns and villages that would not have been possible without your in depth knowledge of living in Italia!” Carolyn
